Responsibilities

Ground Control Station software Developer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Ground Control Station Developer to design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge software for unmanned systems and remote operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, aviation systems, and real-time control interfaces, ensuring the seamless integration of hardware and software for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or other systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Ground Control Station (GCS) software for UAVs or other unmanned systems
- Implement real-time communication protocols for telemetry, command, and video streaming
- Develop user-friendly interfaces for mission planning, system monitoring, and data visualization
- Optimize software for performance, reliability, and scalability
- Collaborate with HW engineers, system architects, and flight teams for seamless operation
- Conduct software testing, debugging, and validation in simulation and live environments
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed systems
Required Skills and Experience:
- BE or ME in Computers, Software Engg., Aerospace Engg., or a related specialization
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, C#
- Experience with GUI frameworks such as Qt, .NET)
- Familiarity with real-time systems and embedded software development
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as MAVLink, TCP/IP, or UDP
- Strong understanding of UAV operations, mission planning, and flight control systems

FLIGHT CONTROLS - SOFTWARE ENGINEER
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conceptualize and design UAV systems by defining system requirements, selecting appropriate hardware and software components, and performing simulations to optimize performance.
- Develop control systems using programming algorithms for flight control, navigation, and autonomous operation, ensuring stability and smooth manoeuvring.
- Develop core functionalities like path planning algorithms, obstacle avoidance, and communication protocols between the software and the UAV.
- Integrate hardware and software seamlessly combine various UAV components like motors, sensors, and flight controllers to create a functional system.
- Test and evaluate prototypes by conducting rigorous testing in controlled environments and real-world scenarios to evaluate performance, identify issues, and refine the design.
- Design systems to collect data from sensors (cameras, LiDAR, etc.) during UAV operation and create efficient methods for processing and analysing the data.
- Explore new technologies and functionalities to advance the field of UAV robotics.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Graduation from Engineering Courses such as Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electronics, Computer science, Robotics, Mechatronics, Avionics. (Masters or Bachelors degree)
- Minimum Years of Experience: 3 Years in relevant field.
- Understanding core robotics concepts like mechatronics, control systems, and kinematics (motion of rigid bodies).
- Proficiency in languages like C, C++, Python, Lua Script and MATLAB is essential (for controlling the robot’s hardware, software, and communication).
- Hands on experience with using computational boards such as Raspberry Pi & Nvidia Jetson Nano boards.
- Strong Knowledge with UAV platforms like, Ardupilot, PX4 etc.
- Knowledge in writing flight control algorithms.
- Hands on experience with building and modifying flight stacks is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge with using ROS/ROS2.
- Familiarity with various sensors (e.g., LiDAR, camera sensors) and actuators (e.g., motors, servos) used in UAVs is essential.
- Proficiency in Machine Learning and Computer Vision.

Trainee UAV Engineer
- Engage in comprehensive training programs to understand UAV design, systems, and industry standards.
- Work closely with the experienced engineers to build a solid foundation in UAV system.
